Waste Water Treatment Plant Al Kharj in Saudi Arabia

As a part of Al Kharj Industrial city (AKIC), MODON has designed an activated sludge process based Wastewater Treatment Plant built up in 6 different phases.

The location of Al Kharj Industrial city is in the central Arabian Peninsula in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(KSA) around 30km south from Al Kharj.

The preliminary total-design is for 60.000m³/day, starting with phase 1 which covers 10.000m³/day.

Later on further phases will be built up depending on the actual growing of population and necessity.

 

RESCHREITER ENERGIETECHNIK delivered for this project the medium voltage cabinets, battery cabinet, transformer, diesel generator, the entire power and control distribution, as well as the Installationsmatrerial for the whole electrical installation. Also the programming, visualization and the control system are created by RESCHREITER ENERGIETECHNIK.

Supplied via a medium-voltage system (RING MAIN UNIT) designed for 13.8kV/60Hz, the distribution to a second RMU, from which a transformer 2500kVA/380V/60Hz is supplied. This transformer is used as the main supply of low-voltage panels.

For emergency power a diesel generator with 1535kVA/380V/60Hz is used.

The low-voltage system, carried out in conventional FIX mounting technic, consists of four main parts, which are distributed according to the system. The control of the equipment works via DOL, FC or softstarters.

Via a SCADA system based on WinCC, a completely easy control of the system is possible.

The operation is based on Siemens S7-400H (high-availability) and Remote I/Os ET200M, the different stations are connected by fiber optic cable.

In the CCR ( Central Control Room ) you will get an overall view of the whole plant on basis of a 4x2m large MIMIC created in digital printing technology.

  • The company RESCHREITER ENERGIETECHNIK has delivered and engineered the whole electrical installation material for the mechanical part of the plant, for the total measurements, as well as the data network
